photoresponses of Phycomyces

Phycomyces is very sensitive to light and some of the photoresponses have been investigated in great detail using several approaches, mostly biophysical and genetical. The sensitivity of Phycomyces photoresponses has allowed the isolation of mutants affected in one or more photoresponses. The gene products required for the photoresponses of Phycomyces are grouped in a phototransduction pathway. The following documents contain a brief description of the photoresponses in Phycomyces.
