Training

The main role of EMBnet is to promote effective use and understanding of Bioinformatics: to achieve this we promote an active training program at our premises and locally at any research institution.

Seminars

Seminars are imparted at the facilities of CNB in Madrid and any soliciting institution. Seminars are divided in two main areas:

• General computing seminars cover topics, from the most basic to advanced subjects in general computing.
• Scientific computing seminars describe specialist tools of interest to Biologists.

EMBnet courses

Our training program is completed with curses in Bioinformatics and Computer Science.

• International courses We organize international courses in Spain as well as participate in courses held in other countries.
• Local courses are given at CNB facilities in Madrid, addressed to the Spanish Research community.

External collaboration

We encourage and support training by other academic institutions, offering our support to their training initiatives.

• Organisation of joint courses with other institutions. Just contact us and tell us about your project: we are delighted to help.
• EMBnet staff is available to cooperate in training programs of any institution providing advice or actively participating in courses and seminars.
• Help to other Academic institutions with our resources, providing teaching material, documentation and temporal user accounts in our facilities.

Documentation

We keep an electronic library of documentation for training courses and seminars. All of it is freely available from the documentation area of our server.
